Attack by four men leaves taxi driver in hospital

Police are investigating after a man was robbed and assaulted in Kingston overnight.

At around 9:45pm a group of four men approached a taxi parked on Milky Way.

The men entered the taxi before assaulting the driver, taking a sum of cash and fleeing the scene on foot.

The 30-year-old driver was transported to Logan Hospital for treatment of minor facial injuries.

The four men are described as Pacific Islander in appearance and aged in their late teens or early 20s.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Investigations are continuing.
