MOTHER'S Day is one of the few days each year when we can celebrate and acknowledge all the hard work mums and women do on the community.

A few months ago Kim Taylor had a dream of supplying some of the women in our community who may have been left out with a special present for Mother's Day, and thanks to the Balonne Shire's generous support, her dream came true.

"Since I put the word out, I have had a wonderful response with 20 bags sponsored,” she said.

Mrs Taylor also said she was so grateful to those who helped her.

"I wanted to say a big thanks to the people who donated items and money towards this cause,

"All of the bags, distributed at Care Balonne, have gone to victims of domestic violence in time for Mother's Day.”
