Man airlifted after D'Aguilar Highway crash

UPDATE, Monday 7am: A MAN was airlifted out of the South Burnett Sunday night after paramedics rushed out to a two-vehicle crash along the D'Aguilar Highway. 

Two people were involved in the crash in which one vehicle rolled along the road at South Nanango. 

Paramedics, with the assistance from QFES, helped one man in his 40s who was entrapped in the vehicle. 

He was freed and treated for head injuries. 

The man was transported to Nanango Hospital to meet a Rescue Helicopter who further airlifted him to the Sunshine Coast University hospital in a serious condition. 

A second person was also treated at the scene and transported in a stable condition to Nanango Hospital. 

EARLIER, Sunday 6.42pm: EMERGENCY crews were called to a two vehicle crash outside Nanango Sunday evening.

A QPS spokeswoman said the call was made about the crash at 6.07pm.

"The crash was just north of the over taking lane outside of Nanango coming from Yarraman," she said.
