Crash victim airlifted after serious Maranoa rollover

A DRIVER has been airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital on a Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter after his car rolled off the Warrego Hwy.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said at 6.21am this morning, a male driver in a single traffic crash rolled off the road 20km east of Mitchell, heading towards Amby.

The LifeFlight crew landed at an airport west of Roma, where they met the patient, who had been transported from the crash scene by the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS).

The man, aged in his 20s, was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition, under the care of the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and the LifeFlight Critical Care Paramedic.

The driver is said to be in a stable condition, after suffering minor injuries.
