Families of Balonne unite for a day of fun

THE rain did not dampen the spirits of attendees of the Care Balonne Family Fun Day on Saturday.

Entertainers and stallholders travelled from far and wide to support the day, showcasing and selling their gourmet and handmade goods.

Care Balonne community development officer Sarah McGee thanked everyone for their help in making it a fun and successful day.

"Children had their faces painted and ate popcorn, they also danced and jittered away to the Jitterbugs, who entertained the children on healthy eating and gardening,” she said.

"The Animals 2U petting farm was a major hit, with pony rides and small animals delighting children and adults alike.

"Molly's Music also entertained the crowd throughout the day.”

Local service providers such as Drug Arm, Sunrise Playgroup, the town library, Qld Ambulance Service along with Pathways to Resilience from Brisbane provided valuable information on the services they provide to the community of St George and beyond.
