Fast paced horse action

Polocrosse Dirranbandi was a hub of excitement over the weekend, with their annual Polocrosse carnival taking place at the Show grounds.

In total, 27 teams came to town for the event from Queensland and New South Wales, including players from Roma and Tara for two jammed packed days of polocrosse action across four fields.

Polocrosse Club member Emliy Watts said the weekend was fantastic and the town really got behind the organisers.

"The carnival was a great success, we had probably the highest total of teams for Dirranbandi over many years, which is awesome,” Ms Watts said.

"The players feedback was great, people said the new facilities are great and the fields held up really well and lots of people said they would see us next year,” she said.

A new addition to the carnival this year was the "The golden oldies” game with retired and previous club members coming back for a friendly match, which was a great success.

After the game, player Tim Perrottet said "lets keeping this happening every year.”
