Leahy outraged by animal activists
WARREGO MP Ann Leahy has lashed out at animal activist group Aussie Farms for releasing an online 'attack' map that breaches the privacy of hardworking Aussie farmers.
"This outrageous Aussie Farms website encourages the upload of photos, videos or documents purported to be animal cruelty at the farms and facilities listed,” Ms Leahy said.
"The real fear is that this will incite activists to break and enter, trespass and commit acts of intimidation and, ironically, animal cruelty.”
Ms Leahy encouraged farmers to do the following to ensure their privacy.
Check if their name and address or email is on the website, request Aussie Farms remove their details, complain to the Australian Information Commissioner and Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission.
