Pedophile back before court for allegedly drinking alcohol

A CONVICTED Ipswich pedophile was back before the court on Friday after allegedly drinking alcohol, which would be in breach of strict supervision orders.

Bradley Paul Crawford is subject to strict supervision orders under the state's dangerous prisoner laws.

Under the laws, the Attorney-General can ask the supreme court to release dangerous prisoners on strict supervision or continue their detention in jail.

Lawyers representing the Attorney-General's office asked Brisbane Supreme Court on Friday to set a hearing date to determine whether Crawford breached his supervision orders by drinking alcohol.

Crawford appeared at court, sitting calmly in the prisoner's dock during the hearing.

He will be kept behind bars until the final decision is made.

The hearing will take place at an unknown date.
