GREENS candidate Ian Mazlin will be on top of the ballot papers for the seat of Warrego, when voters go to the polls on November 25.

The ballot draw was held at BMO Accountants in Dalby on this afternoon, where it was declared there would be six candidates for the seat.

Second on the ballot paper is the incumbent member, Ann Leahy for the Liberal National Party. Third will be Sandra Bamberry, an independent from Tara.

Ms Bamberry has been in the public eye in recent months, being vocal against the council rate rise in the Western Downs.

She started the Facebook group, Western Downs Concerned Rate Payers, who are currently petitioning against the rate rise.

Fourth on the ballot paper is the Labor candidate Mark O'Brien who is from Charleville.

Former mayor of Maranoa Regional Council, Rob Loughnan, who is running for Katter's Australian Party will be fifth on the paper.

Last on this year's ballot paper will be independent candidate Mark Stone.

The six declared candidates have been right across the electorate in recent days, trying to rally support.
