Warm weather forecast

WARM weather is set to descend on the southwest region this week.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, today's forecast is set to reach a maximum of 28 degrees, while it continues to creep up during the week in Roma.

Wednesday will reach a top of 29 degrees. with Thursday, Friday and Saturday are all expected to reach a warm 31 degrees.

The evenings are set to still be cool, with a minimum of 9 degrees and a cool change flowing in on Sunday with a maximum of 25 degrees.

Sunday is forecasted to be mostly sunny with light winds becoming south to southwesterly during the morning.

The UV index is predicted to reach a maximum of 8 on Thursday and Saturday, which is prominent between 8.50am and 3pm.

BOM recommend that forms of sun protection are in place during those peak UV times.

Further west in Charleville, temperatures are set to reach a maximum of 32 degrees on Friday and Saturday and a minimum of 13 degrees.

Light winds are forecast to become northerly during the morning before tendering northwesterly during the day, according to BOM.

Sunday will also see a cool front come in with a top of 24 degrees and a low of 11.

St George will also reach a maximum of 32 degrees, forecast for Thursday through to Saturday, before dropping to a top of 22 degrees on Sunday.
