Woman in hospital with shoulder injury after rollover

A WOMAN suffered a shoulder injury after her vehicle rolled on a major highway in the state's south-west.

Emergency services responded to the single-vehicle rollover on the Balonne Highway about 8km west of St George about 8.50pm.

The woman had managed to get out of the vehicle before Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and paramedics arrived on scene.

The woman was assessed and taken to St George Hospital in a stable condition.

QFES crews removed the fuel tank and battery in the vehicle which was "well off the road", a spokeswoman said.

Investigations are continuing.
